Christian Larsson

Hey everyone!

I hope you’re enjoying “A Life In Black II.” It really was such a fun project for me to work on. Right now though, I find myself in a place where I don’t really know what I want to do next.

My dream has basically always been to write, record, and share my debut album, but that’s a project that will take quite a lot of time to finish. Some songs I wrote more than 10 years ago will probably make the cut, but it’s still a bit tricky to navigate through all the genres that has inspired me. Who knows what my own music will end up sounding like… Country? Blues? Folk? Maybe a mix of it all? I guess we’ll see.

Still, I’d like to give myself a break every now and then from the pressure of working on my debut album. So I’d love to hear from you — my… well, “fans,” I guess. That word still feels a little strange to me, but I can’t think of a better one — about what you’d like me to record and release here on this YouTube channel. Is there a song you’ve always dreamed of hearing me cover? Let me know in the comments below!

I found you trough RDR2, these songs have and will still a special place in my Heart. You are one of the best musicians I have ever heard, I still love your music especially Dark Roots, but whatever you plan to do next i will be happy to hear that. Take your time. Looking forward 🔥

Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson are my two top favorite country music artists; it would always be cool to see some more Willie love. I know there aren't too many songs that would be perfect to cover considering his voice and pitch from time to time that don't necessarily meet a lot of others, but I'm sure there are some out there you would do a fine job covering just like Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain!

Dude I’d love to hear covers of “the whistler” and “oh darlin’ what have I done” both by the white buffalo!

I also found you via RDR, but stuck around for the great renditions of country songs, anf especially Cash (or Cash-like ) songs. "Outlaw Shit" is, in my opinion, even better than the original! In general, I really like your style and the "feel" of your music. What I would love to hear your interpretation of would be maybe: • "Further on up the Road" by Springsteen, but it was also covered by Cash! • "You'll never leave Harlan Alive" by Darell Scott, it's just overall a great, gritty song. I personally like either Patty Loveless or Brad Paisley's rendition the best. One way or the other, I'm looking forwar to your next music, it has always been grand! Really enjoyed Life in Black 2 :)

Honestly, I’d love to hear some reimaginings of some of the James Bond title songs? Taking those and doing a unique genre bend would be super unique and bring you more “fans” haha. Love your work keep it up!

Bringing back Dark Roots would be dope. Criminally underrated channel. Some of your older covers would be nice to hear more, too, like St James Infirmary and This Life.

You should go back to the Dark Roots music you used to make. Those songs are amazing but you didn't seem to do too many of them. But yeah, I'd love a mix of ALL that music, cause that's all the music I'm into as well haha.

@crazyrailroader

From your older videos and recordings, will you ever remake them or will you ever upload them to websites that your music is up on? That rag'n'bone man one is amazing and one of my favorites when driving around night

A original album - that sounds cool. I like folk-bluegrass but you can experiment with any genre except freeform jazz. Though I 'd not mind a cover of Detectorists by Johnny Flynn. The extended version ideally

You posted some shorts awhile back where you sang The Unforgiven, House of the Rising Sun, America Remains and Get Behind the Mule. Would you consider doing full covers of those? Acoustic for the first three, like the shorts.
