Amazing show from in my opinion one of the todays smoking hot artists. To me Billy (affectionately known as BMFS to fans) has popularized bluegrass similar to the way SRV reintroduce the blues to a whole new generation. It was a happy Accident the first time I saw BMFS at the Ryman for Bluegrass night (Mind you on the stage where Bill Monroe coined the name "Blue Grass". It was the final show of a tour for Del McCoury and there was a sea of Tie Dyes. I was perplexed, then Billy took the stage and it all made sense. During Covid Billy did an amazing thing. He did a tour to different venues around the country. The venues were empty but they went to the effort to still lug their equipment and live stream free shows. During isolation this was one of the events I regularly looked forward to. This man clearly has a rare gift but is also a hard working dude! Some artists have profesional personas and who knows how they really are behind the scenes. I get the sensation that what you see is what you get with Billy. He has generated a loyal fan base that much in the Grateful Dead spirit follow him from show to show. A new generation of artists and vendors have gravitated to Billy. In addition to the Extraordinary amount of Merch inside a "Shakedown Street" has evolved of merchants that set up in each town. If your a poster collector the collections are outstanding.
