本課程是關於用英文進行科學數據的技術寫作，旨在提供完整描述或解釋科學數據所需的寫作技能。與文學寫作或報紙報導不同，技術寫作涉及數據闡明，而不是作者對主題的觀點。 課程包括求職信中的信件寫作、幫助手稿準備的圖形設計、標題寫作、文獻檢索等，這些資料可用於論文/手稿的準備。 本課程將講授完整稿件提交程序以及所需的文件（稿件、支援資訊、要點、目錄圖、求職信），並提供常見的寫作技巧（時態、語態、標點符號、格式、段落結構、簡潔技巧）。 This course is about technical writing of scientific data in English. The course aims to deliver writing skills required to describe or explain a scientific data completely. In contrast to literature writing or newspaper reporting, technical writing deals with elucidation of data and not the writer’s view point on the subject. The course includes letter writing for help in Cover letters, Figure designing to help in manuscript preparation, Caption writing, Literature search in a hands on manner. The students will be taught the whole manuscript submission procedure and the files (manuscript, supporting information, highlights, Table of Contents graphic, Cover letter) required for those. Common writing skills (tense, voice, punctuation, formatting, paragraph formation, conciseness tips) will be provided. Reference books, course slides, quizzes, and homework assignments will be provided for understanding and practice.
