The European Climate Law will set in law, for the first time, the objective to make the EU climate-neutral by 2050. This means emitting less carbon dioxide and removing from the atmosphere the carbon dioxide emitted. www.eudebates.tv/tag/climate-change/ This requires extending the Emissions Trading System which already helps the EU reduce emissions from the energy and industrial sectors, to other sectors. Developing cleaner sources of energy and green technologies would enable us to produce, move, consume and live in a more environmentally-responsible way. This means developing a truly circular economy and protecting biodiversity.
