Astrid Fischer is 10 years old, almost 11. She lives in Scandiland, where kids don't go to school but instead do real work in apprenticeships until they find what profession suits them. Astrid starts her journey in the first episode.
Astrid's Journal is an illustrated audiobook series perfect for fans of Harriet the Spy, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Ender's Game. In combination with the Reader's Guide Exercises, it is a robust introduction for elementary and middle grade students (grades 3-8) to the powerful techniques of journaling.
Keeping a journal is one of the most appealing tools for developing writing skills. Journaling is also beneficial for emotional development, helping kids better understand the events in their lives, recognizing their responses, and how to deal with them constructively.
