Direct and galloping, 1987 Original Mix kicks straight into the high gear accelerating heartbeat as it does. Without any hesitation, rhythmic breaks cut through the vibrant melody developing an underlying disco-like vibe making it difficult for the listener to resist dancing when your hips and limbs spontaneously respond to the music. Murky and much sneakier than the original, Dub mix comes with a true film noir touch. By slowly building up suspense, we are led into a “stalking” theme carrying us through the dark alleys of our mind. Relief from too much suspense is brought by a spring reverb (gloomy hero of the day) which makes the whole thing more playful as if we’ve finally learned to make fun of looming mis(t)ery.
