Across these ten songs, **The Briskets** move through relationships, identity, manipulation, regret, consequences, self-deception, faith, kindness and the roads we take—or sometimes wish we had taken. The idea behind the title **“Karmic Blend”** is that life isn't simply a scoreboard of good deeds and bad ones. Everything becomes part of the mixture: what we do, what we say, what we feel, the people we influence, the choices we avoid and even the stories we tell ourselves. **Every cause leaves its mark. Some for light, some for dark.** The album begins by looking through windows and mirrors at the things we sometimes don't want to see. It moves through changing relationships, the voices that influence us, the things we worship, the consequences of our choices and the chaos of the world around us.
