🔶 Motivation behind uploading all OST's:
🔸Game-design is art: In my view, games are an art form and every game is an art-project. I really enjoy the in-game music of the Splatoon series and therefore decided to extract them and edit them the way I like it. I enjoy listening to it while working, driving, commuting, fishing, running aswell during strenght-training.
🔸This is my passion: I do not want to monetize it in any way or make profit of this project. I am doing this to make my and your lifes a bit more joyful by enrichening it with wonderful game soundtrack we all love - perfectly cut and edited in the highest quality possible to provide the best-possible experience for us to enjoy it everywhere.
🔸Community: I am really interested in what others think of the soundtracks I love and love to see how fans find other fans enjoying the same music. In my opinion, the only valuable thing for me to upload to YouTube is to provide a platform for us to engage and share our thoughts and opinions about soundtracks.
🔸Convenience and independence: Sadly, Nintendo has not uploaded the sountracks to Spotify or YouTube Music. Instead they provide us with in-game features to listen to the sountracks. But for that you need to always have you console with you, which is not practical at all. Nintendo also has released official albums for Splatoon 3 like Splatunes 3 and Ordertunes, but they sadly are incomplete and some lesser-known soundtracks are not-included. The same applies to the Nintendo Music app. Therefore I will upload the soundtracks to YouTube in order to enjoy my favourite music on the feature-rich and modern streaming platform.
🔶 Jingles will not be uploaded. However, if they are strongly tied to an in-game soundtrack, they will be incoorporated into the OSTs. For example: All Salmon Run King Salmonid introduction roars and dying roars are mixed into the instruments-only background music to recreate the full-auditory experience when listening to this playlist. However: all other sound effects and screams of the King Salmonids will not be included, because they are gameplay-mechanic-bound sound effects. Same goes for voice sound effects etcetera.
