week of recognized delay is a 16-track soma.circuit album about the interval between an event and the moment the body becomes able to receive it.
Thought arrives first. Tissue follows on another clock. During the gap, more events enter, completed structures begin demanding maintenance, and unfinished states are stored as memory before they can consolidate into experience.
The album moves through rooms, corridors, source files, timestamps, and archives. A seamless loop can hold attention until a visible cut returns the observer to the outside. A generative source is infinite only while another output remains possible. Once it closes, the files do not change, but everything that could still surround them disappears.
The archive keeps meaning available during the periods when the body cannot access it. Later recognition is not inserted into an earlier file. It receives another date. Signals continue arriving in the correct format, even when no presence can be found inside them.
The final track removes the next signal and leaves the question running. Nothing is resolved. The clocks still do not agree.
