Matt Pearce & The Mutiny

mattpearceandthemutiny.com/ www.facebook.com/mattpearceguitar/ London-based, Glasgow-born, guitarist Matt Pearce is an original member of the successful hard rock outfit Voodoo Six (formed back in 2005). But in 2018, Matt wrote a blues album 'Gotta Get Home' drawing from the full range of his influences and passions: rock, blues, funk and soul! “These songs have almost written themselves,” Matt confessed, “They are songs that have become very personal to me: As if my inner voice has suddenly become much stronger. It wasn’t as if I stumbled upon these songs by accident: on the contrary, they tracked me down. I can’t stress how uncanny the experience has been.” ‘Gotta Get Home’ was mixed by Matt Pearce’s V6 bandmate Tony Newton, who produced Iron Maiden’s recent live release, “The Book of Souls”. The project draws together some accomplished guests and collaborators including Joe Lazarus (drums), Jon Moody (keys), Kez Gunes (bass), and female vocalist Acantha Lang. Since the release of the album in 2019, Matt has played many festival across the UK and abroad, including Russia. Matt is also guitarist with Camden's legendary cover band Metalworks, alongside other greats such as Davey Rimmer from Uriah Heep & Richie Faulkner of Judas Priest, where he plays heavy metal, blues, rock, AOR and any other genre Metalworks throws at him - he's definitely a 'man for all seasons'. For this playlist, you'll find Classic Rock's description is spot on. 'A swishy, funky display of blues’n’roll, there are more-ish chops aplenty.’ -
