Wave of Resistance

The oil industry is desperate to silence their critics. At Standing Rock, Indigenous Peoples peacefully opposed the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL), inspiring millions around the world. Water Protectors persisted through tear gas, water cannons, and even attack dogs. Now Energy Transfer Partners, the company that built DAPL, is trying to silence Greenpeace and others with a $900 million lawsuit, while building the new Bayou Bridge pipeline in Louisiana in the United States, ignoring the outcry of impacted communities. Meanwhile, oppressive injunctions have been used to prevent more protests against the Trans Mountain Expansion Project, a dangerous and dirty new tar sands pipeline in Canada. If people around the world ask their banks to commit to NOT fund these pipelines, we can tip the balance on these toxic projects and stop these new pipelines for good. Tell the Dirty Dozen banks not to fund pipelines that threaten human rights, water, and our right to protest! bit.ly/2K2Ca5C
