El Mundo brings over 25 years of experience as a DJ, producer, and label founder, shaping countless releases across the melodic and organic house spectrum. Hugo Oak, an electronic soul artist, vocalist, and composer, has been active since 2010, known for his emotionally charged songwriting and live performances. Together, they fuse electronic precision with human warmth. Their debut single “I Can Feel Your Heartbeat” arrived on Get Physical in mid 2025, setting the tone for what MØHK would become: melodic, intimate, and deeply alive. “MØHK,” their first release on Bar 25 Music, captures that vision in full. Both the title track and “Imagination” were born from organic jam sessions that reveal the duo’s chemistry, merging Hugo’s soulful voice and keys with El Mundo’s refined production. “Light the Fire” in particular feels like a defining moment, a track that nails their sound in a perfect way, as El Mundo puts it. The EP also includes remixes from Jay Fase, Dymos&Shizzo, and Wild Dark & Ariaano. The former rework “Light the Fire” into a late night deep house groove filled with warmth and drive, while Wild Dark & Ariaano deliver a dub oriented take on “Imagination,” built around the most impactful fragments of Hugo’s vocal for the dancefloor. “MØHK” marks a new chapter for both artists, a project where emotion and rhythm find common ground, and where two distinct musical languages merge into one voice.
