Playlab è la nuova area dedicata ai bambini e alle bambine dai 3 ai 6 anni per vivere il Museo in modo inedito. Un invito a giocare, inventare, immaginare, raccontare. È uno spazio di 400 mq organizzato in cinque ambienti pensati per favorire la collaborazione e la condivisione tra ogni partecipante, adulti compresi. Nelle prime quattro stanze, installazioni artistiche, attività di esplorazione, gioco e costruzione permettono di immergersi in divertenti esperienze dove arte e scienza si uniscono. Ogni persona, con l’aiuto dello staff del Museo, può esplorare le forme, i materiali e i suoni della natura, usare l’immaginazione e lo storytelling per conoscere sorprendenti oggetti storici delle collezioni, costruire un mondo fantastico con tanti materiali destrutturati, giocare con la luce e le ombre tra mondo analogico e digitale. Qui i bambini e le bambine, insieme a chi li accompagna, possono muoversi in modo libero. L’ultimo ambiente è l’Atelier che, organizzato per svolgere percorsi strutturati e guidati, segue la tradizione dei laboratori interattivi del Museo. Invita ad approfondire temi specifici con attività di sperimentazione e indagine aperta che consentono percorsi di esplorazione personale per far emergere le proprie intuizioni, idee e teorie. This 400-square-metre space is divided into five rooms designed to encourage creative exploration and collaboration among peers and with accompanying adults. The first four rooms invite children to immerge in, and engage with, art installations, play and storytelling as tools to build an everlasting relationship with science and technology. With the support of Museum education staff, they can explore the shapes, materials and sounds of Nature, use observation and imagination to discover the stories of historical objects from the Museum collections, build their world with deconstructed materials, and play with light and shadow to discover the animals in the forest. Here, children and their accompanying adults set their own pace and ways of engagement with the space. The last room, the Atelier, a separate space organised for more structured and facilitated programmes, builds on the Museum’s tradition and expertise in ‘education labs’. It encourages deeper exploration of science-oriented contents through inquiry-based and Tinkering activities, inviting participants to develop personal insights, ideas, and theories. Playlab offers programmes for audiences with children of 3 to 6 years, schools from kindergarten to the first year of primary school, as well as professional development courses for teachers.
