From iconic titles like My Brilliant Career, Proof, Muriel’s Wedding, and The Sentimental Bloke to lesser-known gems like Floating Life and Wrong Side of the Road, this initiative celebrates the richness and diversity of Australia’s cinematic legacy.
Each restoration involves frame-by-frame digital repair, colour grading and sound remastering, with many premieres held at major festivals including Melbourne, Sydney and Cannes Classics. Through NFSA Restores, these culturally significant works are preserved not just as artefacts, but as vibrant, living stories for new generations.
