Born in a family of musical tradition, he started grooming at the age of five under his father Sri Adhindra Mohan Chakraborty, also received rigorous training from Pandit Ajay Sinha Roy in the style of playing which is widely known as "Baba Allauddin Khan's
Senia Maihar Gharana ". Including valuable training from Pandit Gokul Nag of " Bishnupur Gharana ".

As a Top Grade artist he has enriched his music based on " Dhrupad Style ".
His imaginative sense, creative musical wit and brilliant performance are well taken by his listeners.
Pandit Debaprasad Chakraborty achieved National Senior Fellowship from Govt. Of India and many other awards. He perform continuously in major musical festival in India, Germany, Australia, USA and many more countries.
