Today carries a reputation for being unlucky but the truth is very different.

In spiritual and ancient traditions, Friday the 13th is actually a powerful day of divine feminine energy, magic, and intuition.

Here are a few witchy facts you might not know 🔮

The number 13 is sacred
Long before it was labelled “unlucky,” 13 represented the cycles of the divine feminine. There are 13 moon cycles in a year, connecting deeply to intuition, emotions, and spiritual power.

Friday is ruled by Venus
Friday is associated with Venus, the planet of love, beauty, pleasure, and feminine energy. In Norse mythology, the day is linked to Freyja, the goddess of love, magic, and witchcraft.

Witches honoured this day
Historically, Friday the 13th was seen as a day when spiritual power and manifestation were amplified. Many modern witches still use it for intention setting, protection rituals, and connecting to their intuition.

The “bad luck” story came much later
One theory traces the superstition back to Friday the 13th Arrest of the Knights Templar, when members of the Knights Templar were arrested on Friday 13th October 1307. Over time the date became linked with fear and misfortune.

But spiritually…
