I’m so excited about this pair. Loputyn has been lingering in the back of my cabinet for so long unconnected with despite my undying love of the artwork and sentiments within the deck.

So jazzed to finally have something to pair it with.

Walkthrough of the new Honey & Lavender tarot coming tomorrow 💜🍯

Sitting with how I want to approach a deck diary with these Blue Bones Oracle this week and I have my ideas but, any questions or topics you’d like me to address or speak to with this deck or one like it in general?
Figured I’d weave any in or address them at the end. Thank you in advance 💙

It has been a very rough week for my family, full of grief on levels no one anticipated.

I have a backlog of a couple videos I had recorded. So I will probably just post those, but I may take some time after that. I don’t know. Forgive me for slow replies to comments. I love the conversations here and don’t want to half hearted reply to thoughtful comments when my heart is in such a heavy place.

Much love to you all and just a nudge to cherish all the ones we love every moment we get.

So, I’ve got the first video of a series I’ve been wanting to start since the inception of tarot content on this channel. Deck Diaries, where I document working with a particular deck. For the first in this series, I’ll be working with the Lacrimosa Tarot from the ground up basically, documenting getting to know it, how I explore working with it, sharing readings etc. That’s the idea, anyway.

I would have had the first entry up before the weekend but realized some of the music I initially used might make YouTube mad at me so had to rework things. Which is a bummer because the original music was soo perfect. And the YouTube editor is a PIA so it’s not perfect with the new music. But whatever.

Anyways, I hope to do more Deck Diaries with this, as well as other decks. Lacrimosa is new to me, so this chapter of entries will be focused on how I approach a deck that is new. The first full spread was rather intense 👀

My obsession with this deck 😍
Working on final edits for a deeper walkthrough of the Deathly Flowers. It’s been a few days since it’s arrived and I keep being so drawn to work with it. So so glad to have been able to get a copy of this beautiful deck 🙏🏼

Months ago, I gathered a bit of a reading list for the work I felt called to dig into. This is book 3. I’m only 20 or so pages into this one, but already finding it to be a wellspring of wisdom to take in.

I mentioned in my last video about my Practice with Persephone that I don’t like keeping several journals. That’s true, but I’ve decided to give a go at keeping a commonplace type journal for what I read. This way I can collect and reflect on particular passages or quotes when it comes to books I really want to take in on a deeper level.

Often times I feel the things that stand out to me while reading flit away in time, so I’m hoping being more dedicated and studious about this will assist in retaining what most speaks to me from books like this. It slows things down, but I think I’ve got a little template system that will make it brief enough while still being meaningful. Besides, something I’ve learned in working with Persephone is to slow my roll and sink deeper, move slower, allow things to unfurl before running off to the next.

Now I’m glad I scooped up a couple softcover notebooks from Paperblanks during the last sale season. The clasped hardcovers will remain deeply personal journals, and this one will be the landing spot for my book reading and reflections or connections.

Would be curious to know if anyone else keeps notes of books read? This is new for me, so I’m looking forward to how it unfolds. If it doesn’t end up working for me that’s okay, but I must say I quite enjoyed my session today.

I have a small handful of “walkthroughs” in varying degrees of edit stages that are on the way. This first one coming tomorrow I’m most excited for because I adore this deck! So glad I got it. Have a feeling I won’t be deep diving Yokai tarot until spring-ish times, but I keep pulling it out to test spreads for funsies when I’m working out a spread layout. I also found a great resource to dig more into the individual Yokai.

I’ve also been working on a 2 (maybe 3) part grief series. I sorta lost a bit of steam but it’s really the kind of videos I want to make, speaking to practice and how cards can be put to use in ways I’ve personally found very meaningful, profound, and in ways, life shifting for me. Grief was not the topic that I had in mind for the first series like this, but it’s something that as of late, has permeating my own life and the lives of those closest to me.

Anyways, the walkthroughs and deck collections are easy and fun, low pressure. January always feels like a slog and grief wise it’s been a bit of a weird numb place and for those videos, I do want to be expressing myself in a way that’s present and hopefully helpful rather than…bla. So there will be a couple of low pressure vids first mostly because I have a little backlog. Some were recorded so long ago I may just scrap them tbh 😂 but whatevs.

Thank you so much to everyone who’s followed along, stopped by, left a comment 💜 I’ve loved and been on the watching end of tarot tube for years and the community aspect is my favorite thing about it all. When I started exploring the cards, getting to peek in on others practices and techniques and insights into card meanings was a doorway to a magical place of inner alchemy and insight, and relatability. I guess what I’m saying is, I hope that overtime I’m able to in a sense give back and share my own nuggets of things I’ve learned that have helped me and perhaps they will help someone else too.
