I’m so proud of myself I had to share. I’m not trying to be “look at me” but rather “holy cow I can’t believe I am making this and it’s coming out alright.” Do you ever get like that? This past weekend, I started sculpting Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas. So fun! This is my progress so far. I have a ways to go.
My friend, Elaine, sent me a shirt from the Dominican Institute for Arts in Adrian, Michigan. In a genuine expression of joy and gratitude for the ability to be creative, I transformed this logo-only blank tee into an expression of joy. And, I got my favorite style a manicure: Working Artist. 🥳
To the WONDERFUL WOMEN who purchased Maggie's hand knitted creations, THANK YOU for being her first customers. Thank you for setting her creative heart on FIRE with the confidence that she can build a self-reliant life with her ideas and hard work. Thank you for supporting this wonderfully witty, highly creative, hardworking young woman. (((BIG BEAR HUG))) Maggie's proud mom.
Look who helped me mail out March's Recipe Club Packages! BIG NEWS! Maggie's been knitting hats and rugs (absolutely beautiful, too) and she wants to sell them on JillMcKeever.com/. Be on the lookout. Maggie has a wonderful eye for color and her knitting skills are off the chart. You'll see.
Air-fried quesadillas filled with leftovers: “Black beans You Eat Everyday”, and Gamechanger Cheese, topped with chilled tomato/onion salad. This morning, I woke up not feeling 100. And right now, I am so grateful for having a Breville oven (not a sponsor or a plug, just being real), Along with an electric pressure cooker that, at this very moment, is cooking up the next batch of black beans for dinner. Solid appliances, built to be real help in the kitchen are my absolute foopin favorites. Back to the couch. 🛋️
For the past 5 years, I’ve been growing, strengthening my skills as an artist — leading art classes, hand painting shirts & aprons, creating chalk ware and polymer clay pieces, hand painting greeting cards, and selling acrylic canvas art. It’s a beautiful, peaceful way to work with people. I really appreciate every opportunity that comes my way to use what I’ve learned to spread the joy with others.
Please keep me in mind when you want to give something unique to your loved ones. I’m available to work on gifts for birthdays, retirement, anniversaries, and the holidays. And keep my website bookmarked to check for arts and gifts I create between commissions and projects. Everything I create I make with my own two hands, so everything is one of a kind and fun. Just like we are. 🤪
