This is THE channel for the left-handed, upside-down guitar players out there like me.
If you are a beginner or begin-termediate level acoustic guitar player, then this is your channel.
I'll help you learn your first song, then your first 5 songs, then a full repertoire of songs. Soon, you'll be the life of the party or that surprise packet at the local open mic night.
Look, I'm no guitar virtuoso myself but what I am good at is breaking down those classic songs to their simplest form so that anyone with some base level guitar skills can play them.
I do the old skool songs (60's, 70's, 80's). Simplified.
I'll show you the easy key, chord and riff options so you can sound like a rockstar guitarist (even if you're not).
All lessons are recorded in my "super high-tech" (NOT!) studio...my campervan.
Yep, I work and travel in my van, seeing what I can of Australia in-between my fulltime white collar day job.

Hey there Campfire Guitar Heroes. It’s been a while since I last posted a YT video (at least by regular YT standards of weekly uploads) because I’ve been on holiday and had a few family milestones in late March (2 x children’s birthdays, wedding anniversary, wife’s birthday and my Mum visiting from New Zealand).
Anyways a quick post to say I’ll be back next week with a song I’ve always wanted to learn from an Irish band from the ‘80s? And it’s not U2 or the Cranberries, and not my “usual” music choice. But they did put out a memorable song that is great for practicing a simple baseline pick between the strums, so that’s why I’m teaching it.

I'm working on the next song lesson. It's a song I knew from the '80s but that was a remake from a 1960's original. Anyways, it's a really great song for beginners because it sounds impressive but is actually simple in terms of its strum and chordeology. Coming soon.

I was pretty happy with my most recent song lesson on the #1 "most Australian" song of all time, as voted by a national radio poll here in Aus. It's a song not so well known overseas, but a MASSIVE hit locally.
The lyrics were cutting edge at the time (late 70's), describing the trials and tribulations of a Vietnam war veteran as he tries to fit back into civilian life. So much so, the song was banned from commercial radio at the time for it sex and drug references.
