NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5K_mI... What Are The Best Watch Releases of 2026… so far? I have missed uploading this one by a few weeks (since we are part way through Q3) but hey! Here’s a selection of 40+ pieces in a quick and dirty video covering some of the best we’ve seen this year, from entry-level to haute horology. The common theme? Much like 2019, it feels like brands aren’t trying to keep up with trends anymore and it’s so good seeing sheer variety again. Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpPtO... Size Matters - Why Are So Many Popular Watches Getting Smaller? “Mid-Size” felt like a trend a few years ago and now feels almost like a requirement. If a new watch does not have a companion piece in a smaller size… the perception is you’re sort of falling behind. This video I wanted to quickly tackle points about what has helped cause this change. From unisex to different markets, vintage influences to fashion over function. Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABC46... The Black Bay One + Why it’s Beating the Oyster Perpetual at its Own Game? The OP is now extremely sought after and in contrast, the BBOne is a Tudor property that has been quietly in the background compared to their Divers, GMT’s and Chrono’s. It really is an underrated gem, especially considering the work that has gone into re-engineering their cases, crowns, bracelets and clasps… it also happens that their simplest Oyster design is celebrating a big milestone this year and I thought it was time to give it some love. Above is a concept I’ve thrown together harkening back to a more classic “Oyster Prince” look. Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HosMV... Are Military “MilSpec” Watches Still Popular or Played Out? A couple of years ago, it felt like new additions of Military inspired watches were everywhere. We could not go a few weeks before another addition landed. From simple field watches to the more detailed divers and technical chronographs, no matter the price, brands would offer them. Nowadays, their launches are fewer in number. Could it be that the novelty has worn off or that brands aren’t making what we’d like to see? Are MilSpec pieces just not as cool anymore? Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHsgE... Letting Go of My Most Special Watch (and why I’ll likely regret it) This Seiko is not the most expensive piece I own or the most accurate or even my most sentimental watch BUT it is undoubtedly the most special. I am in two minds about this decision because of the circumstances but maybe it is time to let someone else enjoy it. Really enjoyed putting together this short philosophy talk around it all. Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-kM1... The New TAG Heuer Monaco: Seriously, Who is this Watch Made For? With the upcoming Auction of McQueen's screen worn 1133B, the arrival of the newest generation Monaco’s and the emerging competition in the Automatic Chronograph space, I thought it would be a great time to cover the design and history of this oddity. The question, is this watch too "1970’s niche" for its own good? Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EyH3... My Longines Spirit Pilot 39 Hands-On Review. It has been 5 years since the launch of the original Spirit lineup and through that time we have seen GMT’s, Chronographs and Time-only’s, but none of them truly hit the mark for me… until the fairly quiet arrival of this update. From its cleaner dial to its callback to the Tre & Sei Tacche cases of the 1930’s and 40’s, this new instalment is one of the best watches on the market at the moment (and it made me do some serious thinking about downsizing my collection) Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO:https: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t_EQr-cBnk Tudor’s 39mm Chrono + Why the “Bumblebee” is More than Meets the Eye. Socials have been buzzing with the news about the launch of this new yellow dial. Beyond the change in size and lack of rivet bracelet, there are so many details to the piece that it’s taken me a day to try and find them all. From a new bezel insert, thinner bezel ring, larger triangle on the dial and larger sub-dials… these are just the tip of the iceberg. The first 39mm Chrono the brand has produced in years… and it’s a gem! Enjoy the video

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nl4d7... The Breitling Navitimer Has Always Had One Fatal Flaw (and it’s complicated) Our watch space is not as fascinated about Breitling and their Legendary chronograph compared to the many other significant names. The cruel irony is that what made this watch so popular when it first launched in the 1950’s is also what makes it polarising today. The Question: Could Breitling ever turn this around? With models like the most recent "Aramco F1" collaboration, we can assume that change is coming? Enjoy the video!
