NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPl7b... Let’s Talk About the Strange Case of Cartier Watches (see what I did there?) How has this name risen to such prominence in the watch collecting community over the last few years and most recently seen much more attention from Millennials and Gen Z’s? I have a few theories around things like Style & Substance, the “Fashion” Watch, Modern Design and other musings. Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk2jV... Why Do Watch Enthusiasts Love the Rolex Explorer II? This family of watches continues to be an infinite source of fascination (whether we’ve just started out in the hobby or have spent a long time in it) From its “rocky” origins and rise in fame, when you think about it the Explorer II has one of the most unexpected success stories. This piece has carved out its own identity and caught on in the watch enthusiast space because of its relative affordability, lack of “status”and pretty unique styling cues. We all like a good underdog story, so what is it about this collection that has pulled you in over the years? Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3Dt6... Tudor’s New 36mm Ranger + Why it’s a Big Thing in a Small Package? After 3 years they’ve finally delivered a Smaller Ranger but the surprise was the arrival of the “Dune” Dial. I find it such an interesting take because it looks at models like the original 7909’s as inspiration and frames an alternative “what if?” scenario. Must say, I prefer this look (with all of its quirks) over the regular black dial. Below I’ve added a few adjustments, BB54 crown and a full black seconds hand. Would’ve been awesome if the entire dial was lumed to work off the negative space but hey! Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq-IV... Why is Omega's New Planet Ocean a near Perfect Tribute Seamaster? There has been a lot of debate about this release (rightly so) One hand, seeing this watch depart from the same generic design formula is refreshing and celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Planet Ocean is a nice touch. But its the thickness could still have come down a hair, the solid caseback shouldn’t exist, and the case design? This new PO has many polarising traits, but the closer you look at it, the more you see. It’s a textbook case study of hybridising old and new design to create something completely modern. Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3E8Na... What Happened to Omega’s Exciting Releases in 2025? Every year (since 2017 when I first got into this hobby) Omega has always managed to launch pieces that make statements about the brand every year. But 2025’s newest releases? I can’t be the only one who feels that Omega’s latest offerings have been a far cry from previous years. Enjoy the video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_Fon... Why "Two-Tone" Watches (probably) Won’t Make a Comeback…and that’s okay. Every year we see the same headlines that “It’s Time we look at Two-Tone again” or “Give Two-Tone Another Chance”. But it has been the best part of thirty years since this combination materials was at its peak. What are the chances that overnight the trend of the 80’s and 90’s will boom again? Not all that high. But what are our thoughts on this combination of two vastly distinct materials? One Rugged and one Precious. And why do brands still produce them today? Enjoy the Video!

NEW VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qucWH... Why Are White Dial Sports Watches Still Very Underrated? When we look back Fifty years (and centuries before that) the white dial watch was basically the only option. Watchmakers knew that legibility was the name of the game. The 20th century arrives and we see a notable shift in dial colours and design. Today, white dials are largely reserved for dress pieces that have a more traditional touch, but for Sports watches? Still pretty rare (and all the more interesting because of it) Enjoy the video!
