Was this purely a vanity project? Arguably one of their oldest. Or could these be creating a greater industry opportunity, bringing more eyes to the Calendar complication? I think there’s more going on behind the scenes. Also took the design back by removing the Arabic Numerals and placing the Rolex logo underneath the Date windows (like the ref. 8171) Enjoy the video!

It really is an underrated gem, especially considering the work that has gone into re-engineering their cases, crowns, bracelets and clasps… it also happens that their simplest Oyster design is celebrating a big milestone this year and I thought it was time to give it some love.
