Hello everybody, I am Sam the Giganfan and you have stumbled upon my about page, which I guess means you want to know what I do here.
Well, this channel is primarily focused on Godzilla movies, and I usually like to do discussion videos where I talk about them and their inner workings. I also talk about other things such as Dinosaurs and other Tokusatsu media such as Ultraman. I don't usually upload consistently but trust me, the long waits are worth it for well-edited and well-constructed videos that I enjoy making.

On October 20th, 2014, I decided to create a YouTube channel dedicated to the Godzilla franchise, and 10 years later that channel is still going strong.
From Kaiju Discussions to Year of the Monsters to Walking with Dinosaurs month to the Gamera Retrospective, I want to thank everyone who has supported me and my content throughout the years. This channel has allowed me to do so many incredible things, meet some wonderful people, and allow me to partake in a hobby that I cannot see myself without now. I know that things have been incredibly slow this year but I am planning on doing a tribute video to celebrate the milestone of one of my favorite things in the whole world. I'll have more to say there but until then, I am Sam the Giganfan, and I have been reminding you to wash your hands for 10 years!!!!

Hey everyone!
Sorry for the lack of videos as of late, I've been super busy and haven't had a lot of time to work on videos but I do hope to get one or two out this month, no promises though. Speaking of which, I did talk about beginning the Godzilla Retrospective this year, specifically dropping the first video in one month on Godzilla Day. However, there has been something that I have been thinking about with these videos. For a while, I've thought about doing them in a similar style to the Gamera Retrospective where I look at a bunch of movies in each video, splitting them into their respective eras, however, I have also thought about doing a machete method style for the retrospective where I review a random Godzilla movie in each of the videos.
The main differences aside from general style would be the release schedule, the second obviously being much quicker than the first since I only have to talk about one movie a video as opposed to 5+, and also considering how life has been going, a big Godzilla Retrospective part 1 covering the first several Showa movies would probably release at the start of the new year, considering it'd probably be at least 2 hours long.
So, what would you rather have, lengthier videos covering multiple movies at once, or shorter videos covering one movie at a time in a random machete order? Thank you!!

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to update you all on videos that will be coming soon for the channel. As of right now, the G-Fest haul video is basically done, however, it will be pushed back to next Saturday for the sake of my own mental health (for lack of any other term). From there I'm planning on getting videos out weekly for the next little while, including the G-Fest haul, another Godzilla video, and the final episodes of the Gamera Retrospective + the Gamera Rebirth review. I'm sorry that I've been so inactive this year, life's been crazy for me as of late but I do plan on getting back into the YouTube scene soon. Until then, see you soon for the G-Fest haul!
