Join the Bad Company team on multi year adventure that covers most of the globe. Strategically located with 3 support vessels and 8 game boats. Targeting trophy Blue Marlin in all 3 oceans, Black Marlin in 2 and Surface Swords anywhere we can find them to pitch a live bait to.
BCS 150’ currently operates in the Atlantic along with the 57’ Spencer and 33’ L&H. The teams new 175’ Damen will join the team in the Indian Ocean next year with 43’ Release. We will update and share our travels and adventures here on our youtube channel for others to enjoy. Please encourage our team as we log tens of thousands of miles on the ocean and hundreds of thousands miles in the air.
“All the credit for this operation goes to the world class crew that is relentlessly focused on the execution at a grand scale.
I would also like to thank the legends in our sport, the motherships that went out and explored and innovated so that we can be inspired to do this today.”

Here we go! She is doing a seatrial under way, 700NM up the cost to Namibia, then 3000NM across to Brazil starting leg 17. Stop in Puerto Rico to pick up 50, drop off 43. Cross to pacific Leg 18 Galapagos. Leg 19 Easter Island. Leg 20 South Pacific. Leg 21 Kona. Leg 22 Cape Verde. Leg 23 Azores. Leg 24 Great Barrier Reef.
It’s been 1 year since the catastrophic fresh water leak in Seychelles last December, 6 months of warranty repairs in Dubai and 5 months in Cape Town after moving the boat 5000 NM. Her original delivery was mid 2023, but delayed due to a blown engine until 2024 delivery. 2.5 years later, she is heading out with long list of minor and cosmetic items incomplete, to embark on the most adventurous journey by a mothership. Atlantic-Pacific-Indian with many spots never visited by a mothership program or from a visiting sportfishing team ever. Some areas have never seen a Blue Marlin spread and certainly never an Omni sonar. It’s all on the 175 status as she starts work for the world tour, never know what’s going to happen. But that’s what keep life interesting. Here we go… Merry Christas and happy new year to all.

Very proud of the BCS175 crew for getting her out of Cape Town. They’ve worked around the clock for an entire year since this turd went into the Dubai ship yard in January to repair a catastrophic fresh water leak, just to move 5000nm miles to Cape Town in July as the Dubai yard closed for Summer. Now the cape town yard closed for summer in the southern hemisphere. 3300nm to go until Brazil, at this point I want this crew to succeed more than the fishing itself. The love/hate for boats with this 175 is pronounced more than ever for me as a boat owner. What a complete mess of a boat build this turd has been, 2.5 years late and countless holding costs and headaches. Let’s hope she is good to finally join the world tour and get that 50 on her back in February in Puerto Rico after leg 17 Brazil.

BCS175 update December 19. Round the clock work by the 175 crew, along with misc day workers as the yard is officially closed for the summer in Cape Town. Still pages of items to repair, test, provision, etc. biggest challenge currently the auto pilot after 2 weeks of troubleshooting, still no resolve. BC43 and all her toys are loaded. Last poll success rate was down to 30% BCS175 will leave for Brazil before year end. How about now?

World tour update Dec 16 2025.
BCS175 still in Cape Town. Damen yard closed last week. Crew working round the clock knocking down projects. Biggest hurdle currently is bad Auto pilot, experts from around the world trying to solve it. Still need to do seatrial after all the major work. Have 40k of protein ordered for months of deployment, can’t put on board until we are certain she can sail. Will know in the next week if she is heading out for Brazil. Pretty historical schedule coming up in 2026. Brazil-Galapagos-Easter Island-south pacific-Kingsmans reef-Kona-Cape Verde-Azores-GBR.
BC46 Ricky boat will move from West coast of Florida to Pier 66. She will be on ship to Kona next year. Keeping her hull traditional white. Available as charter with @kaiwi_joe
BC50 Croswait back in Wanchese, more details remain for lifting engineering and stock with rods/reels/tackle. Will make her way to Puerto Rico to meet BCS175 in February and load on her deck for the first time. BC43 will head back to Florida and ship to Cabo San Lucas where she will live.
@paulscopinich Grander chair #3 under construction.
BC75 Delta getting ready for new topside paint. BC92 just completed new deck paint.
BCS150/BC38 Billfish, and BC57 Spencer in Canary Spain. 150 Will cross to Florida when BCS175 leaves for Brazil. 150 and 38 will be available for sale at that time.
Well see what happens next week.

This is incredible and rare data. Look at Amber (800) and Samantha (750) go! Amber is on the beach and could be caught, and Samantha 8 months later crossed the Atlantic into Brazil after heading south from Ascension Island.
Release them early, don’t hold them at the boat. Letting them go does not mean they will live. Every second counts as they stress and are completely exhausted at the boat. Cut them off early, getting that hook out with the extra time and grabbing the bill WILL increase fatality ratio greatly after release. Try your best not to release a mud dart! Cut them loose early as possible.

The original Tarheel - now part of BadCo.
Just could not help myself, had to grab this legendary boat with an amazing history. 1980 Ricky Scarborough - currently the Sea Angel, built for John Bayliss in 1979 as Tarheel and fished by John Bayliss for 11 years as a charter boat. John purchased it back in 2010 and completely rebuilt her from the stringers up at Bayliss. In 2023 under Sea Angel ownership, she was updated again with current technology including Omni. I told John that I was buying his old boat, he said “Anthony you will not have more fun than on that boat”. He was sincerely thrilled that I’ll own that boat. John and BC, open invite to come fish Kona anytime.
She will be heading for Kona and available for charter with Captain @kaiwi_joe I plan to fish her more once the world tour winds down a bit after 2027. A 45 year old wood boat with single screw with a legendary history. Blue Marlin beware!
