After an away mission accident, Lt. Wess Kirkpatrick finds himself stranded on a strange planet where fantasy is a reality. After encountering Liz, Adelaide, and Richard, Wess sets out on a journey to discover the source of the planet's natural disasters and mutated fauna while trying to find his way back to the Federation. Balancing his duty to the Federation and the Prime Directive with his strong desire to aid those in need, Wess must make impossible decisions and overcome harrowing obstacles.
