Thinking about some cool projects and easy DIY’s for 2026. What do you think about turning some everyday ordinary tablets into cyber decks? I would include a LilyGo TT go with Bruce firmware attached to it and a heltech V4 for Meshtastic communications.. 🤔

Just watched the latest WiFi Pineapple Pager update from @hak5 . They shared the screen layout, and I was able to study it and start building my own layout templates right away.
So far, this is what I have. My main design choice was moving the buttons to the right side. When you’re holding the device one handed, it’s a much more natural reach for your thumb compared to buttons along the bottom. This layout is focused on ergonomics and real world functionality, not just looks.
I wanted to share this early with the community. I’ll be releasing the template later once it’s polished.

I just released two new Bruce themes, both tested and compatible with Bruce version 1.12.
The first is an animated theme called Text Survival.
It was built specifically for the T Embed and includes a matching boot screen and boot sound.
The second is a static theme featuring my new branding for anyone who prefers a cleaner, non animated look.
You can access both themes in the Discord.
I posted the link in general chat using a shared Proton Drive folder.
This will probably be the last Bruce related project for a while, as I shift my focus toward the upcoming Wi-Fi Pineapple Pager.
I hope you enjoy the new themes.
I also want to apologize that some of my older themes and assets do not work as well now that Bruce has been updated.
The images themselves are still usable with a little manipulation.
