Happy Release Day! Finally, Liquid Gold is officially out! This album is something we’ve poured our hearts and souls into—a true celebration of 30 years of Shed Seven. To everyone who’s already picked up a copy, thank you. Your support honestly means the world to us.

It’s hard to put into words how much this record means to us. We genuinely believe we’ve created something beautiful. So whatever your format of choice—vinyl, CD, cassette, download—please take the time to check it out. It might just become your favourite Shed Seven album, maybe even your favourite album of all time!

We wanted our 30th anniversary to be something special, not just for us, but for every single one of you who's been with us over the past three decades. In January, we hit our first #1 with A Matter of Time, played two massive hometown shows that sold out in minutes, performed with the BBC Orchestra on Radio 2, and now we’re gearing up for our biggest tour to date. How amazing would it be to add another top ten album to that list?

And let’s not forget—Shed Seven are the embodiment of independence, doing everything ourselves. So the fact we’re in serious chart contention this week, going up against the likes of Lady Gaga (Universal), Ed Sheeran (Warner), and Bring Me The Horizon (Sony), is an achievement on its own. Let’s see if we can give those big-budget artists a run for their money, eh?

When we set out to re-record “Chasing Rainbows” for Liquid Gold, this particular track presented a different kind of challenge. We knew we were handling something with extreme care, as we understand just how significant “Chasing Rainbows” is to so many of you! It’s not just a song but a part of your lives and memories. We read your comments and felt the impact this song has had.

In crafting this new version, we poured all that emotion and significance into it. As we worked in the studio, it became clear that this rendition embodies a collective spirit.
It’s not meant to be better than the original but rather to stand as its sister, a cinematic alternative, like the closing scene of a movie. That’s why it sits proudly at the end of Liquid Gold. You can almost hear your voices singing long after the record has finished.

2024 marks our 30th year as recording artists. To celebrate, we've revisited key songs from our past, amplifying and enhancing each one with a full orchestra to create a vibrant, immersive experience.

Produced by Michael Rendall, who worked on our previous two albums, and featuring string arrangements by Fiona Brice and Michael, the album also includes a stunning collaboration with Issy Ferris from Ferris & Sylvester on "Waiting For The Catch" and a brand new track, "All Roads Lead To You”.

We think “Liquid Gold” is the ultimate Shed Seven album to celebrate our journey so far with our loyal supporters and a new audience alike.
