Months of engineering, simulation, and manufacturing have gone into creating what we believe is one of the most advanced billet front knuckle designs ever developed for the Honda/Acura platform.

The latest machining update is here, and we're getting close! The majority of the CNC operations are now complete, with only three machining operations remaining before these move on to welding, final machining, inspection, and assembly.

This isn't simply another billet replacement for an OEM part. Every feature has been engineered with performance in mind.

These BSM Billet Front Knuckles represent a huge step forward for the Honda and Acura performance world. Since the early 2000’s, when Moore Performance brought their legendary axle design to the scene, few have pushed billet front knuckle development at a production level. They were ahead of their time.

We believe we are RIGHT ON TIME.

The first 10 sets are now making their debut here at Blacksite Motorsports. Once CNC machining is complete, each set will be expertly welded by our team, then paired with ball joints, Centric bearings, and Karcepts hubs before heading out for pre-production release.

First applications include:

DC2 / DC4 / DB8 / EG / EH / EJ

These designs are configured to use OEM-height ball joints while delivering true geometry correction for lowered cars:

âś… Optimized steering arm height to help reduce bump steer
âś… Improved handling and suspension response
âś… Increased rigidity with reduced deflection under load

Built from Billet Aluminum, these knuckles are approximately 40% lighter than OEM, allowing for a faster-reacting suspension while providing a structure that is many times stronger and far more rigid than the factory design.

Blacksite Motorsports is getting closer to the official release of our BIG Spline Torsen CR-V Rear LSDs — and yes, they are here, tested, and proving exactly why we built them.

We have tested these units many times with great success, and they continue to show what the AWD Honda platform has needed for a long time: stronger engagement, better consistency, and a far more serious rear differential solution for builds that are done asking factory parts to do motorsports work.
These units have been tested to 1600 HP with no failures and have also seen 7.47s in the 1/4-mile with Wanted Performance on their 1600 HP K-powered EG.

So no, this is not just another “upgrade” for people hoping stock parts survive real power. This is a proven solution for builders who expect the rear driveline to actually do its job.

Our BSM BIG Spline Torsen CR-V Rear LSD is designed around the Wagon 25-spline axle flange configuration, giving the CR-V rear differential a more capable spline arrangement for delivering more consistent power transfer than the standard CR-V setup.

Billet AWD Parts Don’t Assemble Themselves… Unfortunately.

Another 3 Billet RT4WD Viscous Couplers are being staged for assembly at Blacksite Motorsports.

Seen here waiting on their remaining parts and components are the billet carrier bearings, which arrived yesterday courtesy of UPS. Today, the coupler bodies arrive with the shafts, input flanges, output flanges, and carrier bearing access doors.

And because apparently we like staying busy, this batch will be followed by 10 more RTAWD Viscous Couplers for CR-V differential assemblies.

Things are starting to pick up.

A few weeks ago, we also received the first of 10 new Torsen Big Spline CR-V LSDs — the same LSD platform used in the @Wantedbee 1600HP AWD Civic running 7.47s in the quarter-mile.

So yes… while some people are still debating whether Honda AWD works, we’re over here building the parts that prove it does.

The Blacksite Motorsports LLC RTAWD Torsen LSD is built for CR V, Element, and Crosstour platforms to eliminate wasted power and turn traction into real performance. Using a true gear driven torque sensing design, it instantly sends power to the wheel with grip, delivering smoother launches, stronger corner exits, and consistent control under load.



Engineered around a 25-spline wagon axle setup with a fully forged Torsen body and gear set, this is one of the strongest and most durable LSD options available. It is designed to outperform OEM solutions while supporting both standard and custom builds.

Inside the Blacksite Motorsports RTAWD CR-V Viscous Coupler.

This is the RTAWD Internal Hydraulic Viscous Coupler, a fluid-filled hydraulic damper designed to manage torque transfer between front and rear under load.

This coupler uses shear load of viscous fluid to engage power transfer to the rear, instead of the OEM clutch design that relies on wheel speed variance between front and rear to hydraulically engage clutches. This creates smooth and consistent power transfer from the transfer case to the rear differential to the rear wheels.

Honda Dual Pump AWD System Explained

Most people see the Honda Dual Pump Assembly as just another part. At Blacksite Motorsports, we see it for what it really is. An advanced torque management system that was ahead of its time.

Inside this system, primary and secondary oil pumps work together to generate pressure from wheel speed differences driving a piston that applies load to the clutch pack and transfers power to the rear.

We adapted this pump for motorsports with refined internal changes and shimming strategies to control pump pressure. The primary pump housing acts as a pressure differential system balancing output from both pump gears to force pressure build up and engage the dual pump piston which then applies the clutches and sends power through the carrier to the rear wheels.

Every component from the gears to the housings to the sealing surfaces plays a role in how that power is delivered. This is where real engineering happens and where performance is either gained or lost.

This design builds on our previous innovations refining how these systems operate under load to deliver more consistent and controlled AWD performance.

Our objective is clear: to significantly expand our capabilities, increase production capacity, and elevate the technological standard of products available to the motorsports industry.


By uniting AKDBuilt Performance’s engineering foundation with Blacksite Motorsports’ expanded operational structure, we are building an organization designed to triple the output of our offerings. This integration strengthens research and development, increases fabrication capacity, expands engineering depth, and enhances our ability to deliver precision-built, aerospace-grade solutions to racers, teams, and builders worldwide.
