But September 22 is also a day to remember a significant aviation tragedy.
🕊️ 22 September 1995 — Yukla 27
An E-3B Sentry AWACS encountered Canada geese shortly after departing Elmendorf Air Force Base. The aircraft crashed during the initial climb, and all 24 people aboard lost their lives.
Today, while enjoying the aircraft and airports we love, we pause to remember them.
24 lives. One aviation story that should never be forgotten.
