Quick update ‼️ I've deleted the Patreon page. I'll be frank; it's been an unexpected blessing to have been able to explore these Tales of Urban Decay over the past few years. That being said, I've seen enough in the media to know that all good things must come to an end, so I am looking for a way outside of YT to build a lasting relationship with those of you who share my curiosity about lost stories. And it's here that I need to be embarrassingly honest. Although you all showed outstanding support over there (THANK YOU), it felt undignified, if not exploitative, towards the supporter. Call me old-fashioned, but requesting direct donations in exchange for a closer relationship with people is not exactly genuine.
Our relationship comes down to the fact that we share a similar curiosity about bygone times - I’ll focus on that.
In closing, I’d also like to clarify that the memberships here on YouTube will remain for now, as they don’t have a social component and allow me to experiment with content that may not appeal to a mainstream audience. We will continue to use it to premiere episodes that are too niche for a wider audience, which is also fantastic and in line with our mission.
