With cooler autumn days come the lure of tradition and bygone eras. Mystery abounds.

Our mothers and the women before them, battled in ways we can’t imagine; the fight isn’t over yet for any of us.
Researchers also found that the more discrimination young adults faced, the more mental health issues they developed.

The research looked at data from 1,834 Americans between the ages of 18 and 28 years old. The most common types of discrimination were age (26%), physical appearance (19%), sex (14%) and race (13%). (Source: UCLA)

A way to pay homage to ourselves & ancestors is to wear or display any past art like jewelry and linens. (men enjoy watches, cuff links & cars),
These items can be cathartically healing.

In our healing, let’s not forget to create awareness and action to stop discrimination.

Journal Prompt
Anger is mostly unconscious and we often do not realize that we even have anger in our heart and soul on a day-to-day basis. Unseen anger is like picking up a hot potato and wanting to just toss it to someone else. This might look like you are "funny sarcastic" or impatient, or a clean freak, or any other coping strategy. Mostly it looks calm. Think of it.. how many times have you been stressed or frustrated only to realize that you are exhausted or anxious at the end of the day on some level. Maybe you have a lot of "what if" and "should have" thoughts reeling.
PROMPT: You can't be angry and awake to the beauty around you and within you at the same time. So the emotional medicine is to stay awake to stop the ache :) In your home journal, write about ways that anger might be seeping into your life and health. Is it showing up in how you spend time and money?
