🌌 THE HEAVENS DECLARE 🌌
Genesis 1:6–8 | Bangers for the Creator #2
What if we could witness the moment the heavens were formed?
Not millions of years later.
Not through a telescope.
Not through imagination alone.
What if we stood at the edge of the waters and watched creation unfold?
This new video is our attempt to bring Genesis 1:6–8 to life through music, art, and worship.
⚡ Massive anthem energy
🌊 Waters above and waters below
☁️ The creation of the heavens

“Do not worry for your life…”
Matthew 6:25–34 may genuinely contain one of the most transformative teachings on anxiety ever spoken.
So we turned Jesus’ words into a cinematic worship song.
🕊️ The birds of the air
🌿 The lilies of the field
⏳ “Who by worry can add one hour?”
👑 “Seek first the kingdom of God…”
This is part of the ongoing “Following Jesus’ Way Through Jesus’ Words” series from Hymn & Human — creating music rooted directly in Scripture and designed to make the teachings of Jesus memorable, emotional, and alive.

LIGHT.
DUST.
BREATH.
WATERS.
LIFE.
We wanted worship to feel massive again.
Not smaller.
Not safer.
Not background noise.
Something cosmic.
Something beautiful.
Something that felt like creation itself waking up.
✨ LET THERE BE LIGHT ✨
The first release from:
BANGERS FOR THE CREATOR
by Hymn & Human
A cinematic worship series inspired by Genesis 1.
This is the beginning.

Even David.
The giant slayer.
The psalm writer.
The worship leader.
The man after God’s own heart.
Roof of the King is not a sanitized Bible story.
It’s a cinematic worship experience about lust, power, repentance, consequence, mercy, and the terrifying realization that the line between “the sinner in the story” and ourselves is thinner than we want to admit.
This project was created reverently, honestly, and artistically — not to glorify sin, but to expose the way it slowly justifies itself inside the human heart.
By the end of the song, the story stops being about “that king long ago”…
…and starts sounding a little too familiar.
OUT NOW.
Watch the full video experience.

Before we release our next song — “Holy Hunger” — we wanted to talk about why people fast in the first place.
Jesus didn’t say “if you fast.”
He said:
“When you fast…”
Not as performance.
Not as spiritual theater.
Not to look miserable or impress people.
But quietly.
Privately.
Honestly.
And what’s fascinating is that modern science keeps discovering real benefits connected to fasting:
• improved insulin sensitivity
• lower inflammation
• better metabolic health
• appetite regulation
• mental clarity
• cellular repair processes
• circadian rhythm alignment
• and more
For thousands of years, fasting has been practiced spiritually across cultures and faiths.
Not because the body is bad — but because slowing consumption can wake us up.
“Holy Hunger” is about that tension:
physical hunger
spiritual hunger
the things we consume
and the things that consume us.
Following Jesus’ way through Jesus’ words.
“When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do…”
— Matthew 6:16

Have you ever noticed that Jesus keeps saying things like:
“The Father is in Me.”
“I am in the Father.”
“You in Me.”
“I in you.”
At first it sounds mysterious.
But what if Jesus was describing something astonishingly relational?
Not a distant God.
Not separation.
Not “climb high enough to earn love.”
But participation.
Connection.
Communion.
Abiding.
Like branches connected to a vine.
Like breath filling lungs.
Like light passing through windows.
The Gospel of John keeps repeating this idea:
God in Christ.
Christ in us.
Us invited into divine love.
The Greek word Jesus uses over and over is:
μένω (meno)
Meaning:
remain
dwell
abide
stay connected
Maybe the “good news” is even more amazing than we realized:
You were never invited into cold religion.
You were invited into living communion with Love itself.

Something strange and beautiful is coming soon.
LOVE YOUR NEIGHBORS
A short film by Hymn & Human
Following Jesus’ way through Jesus’ words.
This one feels different.
Part road trip.
Part parable.
Part psychedelic kindness experiment.
Sunflowers.
Animals.
Rainbow highways.
Mercy.
Forgiveness.
Wonder.
And the dangerous possibility that maybe Jesus actually meant what He said.
Not religion as performance.
Not outrage as identity.
Just trying to walk the way of love in a loud world.
Coming soon 🌻

“What if the Lord’s Prayer was never meant to be routine…
but transformational?”
We spent more time with this one because it felt too important to rush past.
“As it is in heaven…”
Maybe Jesus was teaching us more than words to repeat.
Maybe He was teaching us how heaven moves into people.
New Hymn & Human video is out today. ✨

This Mother’s Day, I realized something strange and beautiful:
The women of Scripture did not stay in Scripture.
I kept finding pieces of Eve, Ruth, Hannah, Elizabeth, Mary, and Rebekah living quietly inside my own mother.
The story did not end in Genesis.
It came home and mothered me.

What happens when faith is real…
but grief is real too?
“You Can’t Cuddle With Jesus” is an upcoming five-minute musical short film from Hymn & Human — a cinematic worship experience blending storytelling, music, and raw human emotion.
Told from the perspective of a woman sitting beside the man she has loved for years, this short film explores the collision between spiritual hope and physical loss. It doesn’t pretend that faith magically removes grief. Instead, it asks an honest question many believers quietly carry:
What do you do when Jesus sustains your soul…
but you still miss someone’s touch?
Set in the quiet ache of a hospital room, the film wrestles with loneliness, memory, devotion, and the deeply human need for presence and comfort.
This is not a film about losing faith.
It’s about discovering that faith and grief often sit in the same room together.
Honest. Raw. Human.
Coming soon from Hymn & Human.
A Basic Human Records presentation.
