Lily of the Mountain

The fire that killed a man and burned 19 houses is the Chelan Hills Fire south of this. This one is being cleaned up today to make sure it doesn’t take off again.
The locally famous Hobbit House, built into the side of a mountain, was completely burned to ashes.
The farm was spared but we’ll be taking down some trees close to the house.

I used to love visiting Portland several times a year. The great bookstores, beautiful parks, interesting small shops.
It’s a nightmare now. They have organized thieves- watching cars of tourists to steal their luggage, for example. I’m surprised anyone visits there.
