Single mom, former Marine along with tween son renovate our grandparents property as we create our family homestead while becoming self-sufficient in southern Louisiana. We invite you to come and embark upon this journey with us. We are new to the YouTube University but we have been a part of the YouTube family since 2013. However, I just posted my 1st video this Oct/Nov 2022. Please, don't let it take you that long. I've watched hundreds of YouTubers and learned so much. It's through all of you that I finally developed the courage to do it for myself. During this journey, my goal is to not only have fun but to teach you some tips, tricks, hacks, DO's & DON"Ts that I've learned from my personal failures. Come; let's laugh, cry, and learn but most importantly let's Homestead together. Homesteading is not a fad nor a quick ride but rather a progressive lifestyle choice. Today we had to bury our beloved rooster, trouble. Another rooster, casanova, got out of his enclosure and attacked trouble. By the time I found him that night at bedtime he was lethargic. He had passed by morning. We asked him ourselves so he will be missed. What a beautiful chicken he was.

September 4, 2024.
I built the 3rd door to our new compost bin that night before going in. I must still install the hinges and mount it. The blue tarp will remain until the last door goes up otherwise our chickens will have compost all over.
I posted this on my Facebook page the other day. However, I'm locked out of my account right now so I'll be updating my YouTube until my tec issues on FB are resolved.
