☀️ **Summer Modelling Break** ☀️ Hi everyone! Just a quick update to let you know that I am taking a short summer break.
As many of you know, the loft becomes incredibly hot during the summer months, making it far from ideal for building the layout. Rather than struggle through the heat, I'm going to take a well-earned break and return when the temperatures are much kinder.
🚂 **I'll be back in early September**, refreshed and ready to continue building the railway, with plenty more track laying, wiring, scenery and train running still to come!
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the channel, watched the videos, commented and become a member. Your encouragement really does keep me motivated, and I can't wait to get back into the loft and continue the journey with you.

The Novice Railway Modeller
🚂 A little different from my usual post today!
A good friend has asked me to help sell some of his vintage OO gauge models, and this superb Lima BR Inter-City passenger train is now available on my eBay store, The Novice Railway Modeller.
The lot features the iconic Class 55 Deltic D9006 “The Fife & Forfar Yeomanry”, together with four BR Blue/Grey coaches to create a classic British Rail passenger rake from the 1970s and 1980s.
If you’re a fan of BR Blue, Lima models or simply enjoy running complete passenger trains on your layout, this could be just the thing.
You’ll soon find it, along with a number of other vintage Hornby and Lima models I’m selling on behalf of my friend, over on my eBay store, The Novice Railway Modeller.

🚂 Something special is happening for Members...
While the summer heat has temporarily brought progress on the Sandale Model Railway to a halt (it's simply too hot to work in the loft! 🥵), I've been keeping the members' area busy.
Every day I'm sharing a Loco Fleet Feature, taking a look at every locomotive I've bought for the layout. Each post includes the story behind why I chose it, details about the real locomotive, what I love about the model, and whether I'd buy it again.
