Hey all,

So I thought I'd take a second to let y'all know about what's been going on behind the scenes. As you might know, this channel is very much a hobby for me (that I'd of course love to turn into something I use to supplement my income), one that I've had a ton of fun with, especially with the initial success of the Taylor Swift Madden 24 and Sims 4 series. That's the thing, though. The viewership and overall interest in the Sims 4 series has seemed to really drop off (which I get, as series can be tough to maintain momentum in), and while there is a really awesome and devoted contingent of y'all who stuck through the 26-episode T-Swift series and into the Sims 4 Love Island concept, it's been hard to justify the amount of time and effort necessary to pump those videos out each week. PLUS, I'm not achieving an amount of viewership that's allowing me to generate good ad revenue off the series. Full transparency, I'm not doing great financially right now, and so there's extra pressure for me to find ways to spend my time more efficiently. Hanna and I have also found it harder and harder to film together (as we typically only see each other on weekends), and I'd never want the content we make together to add any sort of stress onto our relationship.

In terms of the Sims 4 Love Island series, I am also having a tough time trying to figure out how to continue the series from a content standpoint. Maybe it's my lack of Sims 4 knowledge (or the lack of expansions, as I only have 3), but I don't fully know how to move forward with the series in a way that's entertaining, different, and sustainable. So for now, I unfortunately will be deciding to postpone the series until I can come up with better ways to continue it and/or end it. So yeah, no Sims 4 Love Island episode coming out today :(

Moving forward, I do have a few other Sims 4 ideas, but I want to be transparent with y'all and say that, I don't necessarily want to become a Sims content creator. I don't think I have enough good ideas to really make that a worthwhile specialization. I've had a tough time navigating the "what kinds of gaming content do I want to make?" question, especially with the pressure (both algorithmically and from other gamer friends) to create only a CERTAIN type of gaming content (specializing in a game or a genre of games). I LOVE video games, and unfortunately my tastes transcend different genres and likely different audiences.

As evidence by my first ever video (the Madden 24 T-Swift Travis Kelce video), I love sports. I follow football, baseball, and basketball regularly and also watch tons of content from gamers who make videos for those sports. Seemingly, this has definitely caused me to have an abundance of what I believe to be really good sports video game ideas (like the "Backyard Baseball, but we can't pick any offensive stereotypes" concept). So, of course, there's a genuine part of me that's pulling me in that direction, despite the fact that I don't know how much audience overlap there is between sports games (predominantly male) and the Sims 4 content I've been making.

The absolute DREAM scenario would be to create gaming content for whatever game I want to play in that moment and not have to worry about how many people will decide to watch it, but also I know I'd have to earn that freedom first.

If y'all don't already know, I also have my MAIN goal in life, which is to pursue music to the point where it's my full-time job. I've come to the realization that I'm not going to be able to get there if I continue prolonging the "I can't give 110% into music right now" dilemma. Therefore, I can't necessarily afford to substitute out music time for gaming time unless I'm both having fun and working toward a way to make decent money doing it.

So anyway, all of this is to just essentially say that, I'm at a big decision point in life because I've got too many things I like to do (music, gaming, live streaming, content creation, comedy, my podcast, etc), and I've only got so many hours in a day. I've been spreading myself too thin with all of my interests, which has resulted in me giving less than 100% to literally all of them. It's not sustainable, and so I'm trying to combat that by finally taking the time to say "no" to things I can't afford to devote time and effort to.

Gaming (and specifically this gaming channel) is something I really want to put part of my heart into, but it has to be with videos I love making, and it can't be TOO much of my time/effort. I'm going to continue to try and put out videos when I can, but I may be experimenting into different worlds like the sports gaming world a little more if I find I have more success and fun there. I'll be trying out other games as well (like maybe Minecraft, Among Us, Stardew Valley, Fortnite, Fall Guys, horror games, etc), but there may be a small emphasis on sports for the time being.

I hope that y'all get where I'm coming from (though I have no idea if this is cohesive lol), and I hope that I've earned your interest enough to want to stick around through this discovery/experimental phase and onto whatever awaits! If not, I totally get it! Either way, I love y'all, and I look forward to hopefully blessing your screen very soon.

New Sims 4 Love Island episode coming first thing tomorrow morning (Thursday)!

Apologies for the delay on this one, y'all! I had another video schedule to be released today on the main channel, and I couldn't get this one edited in time to come out at a reasonable hour today.

However, I thought I'd at least grab a screenshot from the 2-on-1 date that is taking place in the episode! Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, and Emma Watson went on a date to the Romance Festival (which was in town), and let's just say sh*t absolutely hits the fan.
