Sometimes the biggest shift happens when we release the fear, doubt, disappointment, and need to control exactly how life should unfold.

For most of my life, I never quite knew where I belonged.

I was born in Sri Lanka, adopted and moved to France, and then moved to England in search of independence and a life that felt like my own. For years, I carried pieces of different countries, cultures, and identities without ever feeling fully at home in any of them.

And then, unexpectedly, while watching football, something shifted.

For the very first time, I knew where my heart belonged.
