I told some of you that a little bird told me arrests were coming. A lot of people truly believed these individuals were “helping” the Whittaker family.
John “Patrick” Roark, 47, was arrested Friday following an investigation launched in September, according to West Virginia State Police. Roark is accused of exploiting members of the Whittaker family by using their disabilities and vulnerabilities to create social media content for personal profit. Authorities allege he solicited donations intended for the family and kept the money for himself.
