As we celebrate our children today, we stand in the gap for those held captive by terrorists and kidnappers, those bound by sickness, and those facing every kind of hardship. We pray that the God who delivers the captives of the mighty will save our young ones and bring them safely home to us. We also pray for healing and strength for every child who is unwell.
Our children will grow tall and sturdy like trees planted by streams of water—firm, unshaken, and flourishing. They are the leaders of tomorrow, their future will not be stolen from them. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior and God’s battle-axe, they will weather every storm and emerge victorious.
