A Parable of Strength:

The Oak and the Reed

Once upon a time, near the bank of a wide and restless river, there stood a mighty oak tree. It towered high, with branches stretching proudly into the sky, its roots delving deep into the earth. Beside it grew a slender reed, humble and slight, bending with each breeze.

The oak looked down at the reed and laughed, saying, “How pitiful you are! You bend with every gust of wind, swaying helplessly while I stand firm and unyielding. I am the strongest tree in this forest. No wind can move me.”

The reed, though delicate, replied softly, “Dear oak, your strength is indeed impressive, but perhaps it is not the only kind of strength.”

Seasons passed, and one day, the sky darkened as storm clouds gathered. A fierce wind swept through the forest, howling like a wild beast. The mighty oak braced itself, flexing its branches defiantly, determined to stand strong against the fury of the storm.

But the wind only grew stronger, relentless and unmerciful. Finally, with a loud, splintering crack, the great oak fell, torn up from the roots, and crashed to the ground, defeated.

The reed, however, bent and bowed with the wind’s force, yielding but never breaking. When the storm passed, the reed stood upright once more, untouched by the destruction that surrounded it.

The oak, now lying broken and humbled, whispered to the reed, “I thought strength meant resisting everything, standing unyielding. But you, fragile as you seemed, survived where I did not.”

The reed swayed gently in the breeze and said, “Strength lies not just in resisting but in knowing when to bend, when to yield, and when to rise again.”

LONG BUT GOOD POST ALERT:

We watch people win awards for making a lot of money, getting 1st prize,
and accomplishing huge goals!

We call them a successful!
We praise them for such achievements!

But do we care about what’s going on inside? What do I mean?

The internal world, how do they actually feel about what they’ve accomplished, what is their relationship to it.

For inner work there is no external reward. No prize, no list, no accolades

Yet, inner work is the greatest reward of it all.

How many people have ended their lives because they were just too healed,
peaceful, happy and fulfilled?

I have never heard of one.

How many people have reached the greatest heights of fame, financial success and even gone as far as breaking records…

Yet they end their lives because despite all we saw, all we praised, all we envied, admired, or celebrated it didn’t have any true value to their life in and of itself.

Maybe it had some, but it wasn’t enough.

It may serve us to stop assuming that just because someone gets a lot of social media hits, has lots of money, lives in an extravagant home, travels the world, or has a beautiful looking relationship that they are truly successful.

Those things are nice, I like money, cars, homes, viral videos, traveling and having partnership,

But if I am not internally where I need to be, as glorious as these accessories may seem, they turn into heavy weights.

I saw go for it, we live in a time that our ancestors could not dream of, enjoy the beauties of life, just keep it in the right order.

Focus Inside, then out.

And I’m still practicing but from what I’ve seen, the outside really takes care of itself once you prioritize the internal work.

Be patient, and enjoy the journey.

One thing nature can show us is, some things worth having take time.

A fruit or a vegetable grows in its time and no one else’s. As long as it gets sufficient space to grow, right temperature, light, water, air, nutrients and time.

It will GROW.

That might of seen like a lot of elements, but it naturally all happens to vast degrees.

To reach our goals, we need, faith, surrender, time, consistency, courage, and just like plants,

The SPACE TO GROW

If you are filling your time, body and mind with things that don’t serve you and work against your goals you may be pushing away or delaying your goal.

Keep it simple, be honest, and take it one day at a time. I am still here…

Thinking of you, and preparing my plant to grow so you all can receive its fruits!

My Youtube Family!

It’s been a long time (Well a long time for me) since I’ve made a post.

Let me first say I’m alive! (That’s a blessing)

And if you’re reading this you’re alive so congratulations.

I’ve met several people, done some pretty cool interviews.

I’ve been on a cruise ship across several islands and countries,

I’ve been to Las Vegas to network, grow and connect.

And just doing life, taking care of responsibilities, growing, healing, getting ready to become the person I need to be for myself,

For you and for the world.

I usually have a message of inspiration, of hope and encouragement, but this is more of an update to let you know

I will be posting videos again. I have some new style videos in mind for 2024.

I am saying a collective prayer for you, wishing the best for you, and thankful that you take time to read these words.

I love you for that. For being apart of my purpose, and witnessing my journey.

I promise to make it worth your while.
