Checking in to thank God PUBLICLY, and let you all know that I am officially a SECOND YEAR ASSOCIATE. I got my pay raise and everythanggg this week 💃🏾
The funny thing is, I wasn’t gonna post about it because it didn’t feel like a win. People don’t post about becoming a second year, they post about making partner.
This year I’m thanking God for ALL OF IT. I’m being as loud and persistent in thanksgiving, as I am in supplication. God, I am GRATEFUL. Thank you for being my strength and my song in every season.
Those of you who have followed me for a while know this lawyer journey hasn’t been the smoothest.
If we aren’t careful, we can spend our lives in an endless cycle of waiting. What you ask God for in one season, can become the thing you complain about in the next…and before you know it you’ve lived a life of grumbling and discontent.
I’m getting off the merry go round. I’m living in the present. Thanking God for the moments. And trusting His plan for the rest 🙏🏾
