It’s been quiet here… and I owe you an explanation.
This episode stopped me.
Not in a small way.
I suffer from PTSD. And this time it didn’t show up quietly.
It hit hard.
Every blink of my eyes brought back another moment I would rather forget.
I couldn’t think, eat, sleep.
Everything stopped for weeks.
Except life doesn’t actually stop.
Even when it feels like it should.
There were days I couldn’t open this edit at all. Days turned into weeks.
When I was ready to completely give up, my hero stepped in.
And Thanks to Craig for finishing this one solo. 🥰
Craig kept it moving.
And that means more than I can explain.

Since this is a bit of a reset week on the channel, I figured it was time to fill in a piece of the story some of you might be missing.
This entire 10,000-mile journey you’re watching right now was actually filmed last year. And when we finally reach the end… you’ll understand why it’s taken so long to tell.
Because real life is messy.
It doesn’t arrive in neat little episodes. It wrecks your plans, derails your schedule, and constantly tests your ability to keep your head up and keep moving.
And sometimes… we break.
You heard one of those moments from me in the last chapter. What I didn’t realize at the time was that the dash camera in our car recorded audio. I only discovered that later.
In another life we were very private people. Like everyone else, we struggled with the life we were living.
Then we chose this ridiculous path.
And this journey has come with some very real personal costs as well.
This community isn’t built on glitter and glamour. There are amazing channels that do that beautifully.
That’s just not what this one is.
Here you’ll see the parts most people cut out:
RV breakdowns (with Trinity and with us),
hard decisions,
and plenty of mistakes along the way.
There have been a lot of them. And we own every single one.
Because if sharing those mistakes helps even one of you avoid making the same ones… then it’s worth it.

🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day…
We were really hoping the universe would throw us a bone this week.
Instead… it chose violence. 😅
Earlier this week we were dodging tornadoes, getting slapped around by 40 mph winds…
and NOW we’re frozen in place, with 7 inches of snow on the ground after a full-blown blizzard.
But hey… it’s sunny. So… progress? ☀️❄️
Which honestly tracks…
because when we left you last week, we were already stranded in the middle of nowhere Canada trying not to panic.
This week picks up right there —
tired, slightly delusional, and realizing
the odds might not be in our favor.
Which feels… rude.
Considering the holiday. 🍀
So we turn around…
like people who definitely have a plan.
(We didn’t.)
And then somehow…
we catch a break.
We met a woman.
And she tells us her husband…
is a mechanic.
And for one brief, beautiful moment…
we think we’ve been chosen. 😂

Well… we tried. We really did.
We were hoping to have the next episode ready for you today, but between dodging tornadoes, 50-mph winds, snowstorms… and a few emotional moments while editing this one…

Okay… this chapter of the trip got real.
We left ’Ksan Campground in northern British Columbia thinking it was just another beautiful drive north toward Alaska.
Mountains everywhere.
Wildlife everywhere.
The road wide open.
Then Craig heard a noise.
At first it was nothing…
until it wasn’t.
Suddenly we were in the middle of remote Canada with no cell service, no internet, and a motorhome that didn’t sound right.
This might be the moment the trip actually started falling apart.

Okay… this one caught us off guard.
We pulled into Ksan Campground in British Columbia thinking it was just another overnight stop… and suddenly the whole pace of the trip changed.
We slowed down.
Looked around.
Tried to act like adults at the ’Ksan Heritage Center. 😅
Somewhere between the views, the bridge “oops” moment, and real conversations about life on the road… this episode turned into something different.

Okay… halfway through this 10,000 mile trip to Alaska and somehow this episode feels different.
We spent so long surviving this trip that we almost forgot what it feels like when everything on the road is actually… OK
Canada is spectacularly beautiful. But the Hazelton Bridge... in a Class A RV...was terrifying.
And somewhere between the views and the sarcasm we remembered why we started this whole ridiculous journey.
But because the universe refuses to let us feel too calm… the episode ends with plumbing issues and an almost-shower situation that perfectly sums up our RV life.

I have never laughed so hard replying to a comment in my life. That was elite-level detective work. 👏
Truth? At the end of this 10,000-mile RV adventure, Craig and I renewed our vows in a private beach ceremony. After breakdowns, border interrogations, injuries, snowstorms, and mechanical and mental meltdowns… we chose each other again.
And yes. When I don’t understand something, I research it thoroughly.
Apparently that becomes risky when you forget to clear your browser history.

We’ve driven 4,000 miles.
Through breakdowns. Borders. ER wristbands.
And somehow… the thing that almost did us in?
Marriage. In 300 square feet. 😅
This week isn’t dramatic.
It’s worse.
It’s real.
It’s us trying to wash the bug graveyard off Trinity, arguing with a DVD player like it owes us money, and discovering that long-term RV life doesn’t test your engine…
It tests your patience.
No disasters.
No interrogation rooms.
Just British Columbia, sarcasm, and two people who absolutely did not read the fine print on “adventure.”
We are 22 people away from 1,000.
Which means this rolling circus finally starts paying for gas.
