A. R. Rahman Visits Sonorium at Tulah

We recently completed Sonorium at Tulah, a custom indoor sound-healing space created by SVARAM as a sanctuary for deep listening and presence.

During this special occasion, we were honoured to welcome A. R. Rahman to experience the space.
His presence brought a quiet depth and a beautiful acknowledgement of the intention behind Sonorium.

Designed as a listening architecture, the space is fully inhabited by handcrafted instruments—metal, wood, shells, and stone—many of which were custom-created specifically for this room’s proportions and acoustics.

This is the full Sonorium installation created by SVARAM at Tulah.

The space is designed for listening.
Not as a concert, not as a performance, but as an experience where sound unfolds slowly through presence and attention.

The instruments are handcrafted using natural materials — metal, wood, shells, and stone — and placed in relation to the body and the architecture of the space.
There is no fixed way to play them. Sound emerges through touch, movement, and stillness.

Sonorium invites people to slow down, to listen deeply, and to experience sound as vibration, resonance, and space.

Our new Water Bell is now installed and resonating at the Svaram Sound Garden.

Water drops travel through a pipe and fall one by one, striking the bell.
Each drop creates sound — shaped by gravity, timing, and flow.
The rhythm is slow, organic, and always changing.

This is part of our ongoing R&D at Svaram, exploring how natural elements can become sound creators on their own.
