Utpanna Ekadashi The Birth of Liberation
Today, on Margashirsha Krishna Ekadashi, we observe the sacred Utpanna Ekadashi, the first of all Ekadashis the day when Ekadashi Devi herself manifested from Lord Vishnuâs body to destroy Mura Asura, the demon of ignorance and inertia.
According to the Padma Purana, after Ekadashi Devi conquered Mura, Lord Vishnu declared:
âThose who observe Ekadashi with devotion will be freed from sins and attain My eternal abode.â
Vedic & Astrological Insight:
â˘Ekadashi Tithi represents the union of mind (Moon) and soul (Sun) the eleventh phase when inner balance is restored.
â˘The appearance of Ekadashi Devi is the awakening of sattva guna clarity, self-control, and awareness.
â˘Spiritually, this is the day when the power of austerity (tapas shakti) begins to flow through creation.
What To Do Today:
â˘Fast as per your capacity Nirjala, Phalahar, or Sattvik meals (avoid grains).
