This photo holds deep meaning for me, it's one of the most significant cymatics photos I've captured. It was my first encounter with the rare and beautiful 7-fold geometry, revealing this beautiful crystalline structure.
It still amazes me that this is purely a photograph, created entirely by the interplay of light, water, and the vibration of a low octave G note.

All photography, just water, light and sound. Cymatics physics photography is a visual expression of the sonic influence on the medium’s resonance.
It’s like translating the essence of the sound into the physical properties of the medium.
An interpretation or transformation of sound rather than a direct representation, which invokes many possibilities.
