DPRK Music

Hello everybody. Happy New Year!

Let me tell you about myself, because I've never done this before :)

My name is Vlad (Vladislav) Ivanov, I am 32 years old. I live in Russia, in Kaliningrad region, near Baltic Sea.

I have no higher education, I studied at the history faculty for only 1 year, after that I took my documents and left away. As for my other education - in theory, I can repair computer equipment. In practice - 8 years ago I successfully ruined my own laptop when trying to replace the thermal paste =)

As it often happens in the life of many people, my diploma was not useful in my life. Now I work as a sports journalist - for not very much money.

I don't have my own home. I live in a rented flat with my mother. I don't plan to get a wife and children. My health is not very good (especially when it comes to nerves and eyesight). My prospects in my old age are quite dim, but... I'm an optimist and will smile even in the most stupid situation, so no need to worry about me too much, haha.

My main hobbies at the moment are music (a wide variety, from classical to rap) and genealogy (yes, I can spend hours digging through documents, studying the history of my ancestors and the settlements of the native Bryansk region).

As for sports, I'm a big fan of the San Marino football team (since 2010) and Arsenal London (since 2006).

I don’t play computer games (only Football Manager 2016). But what about smartphone? Oh, I prefer Brawl Stars and PUBG.

I hardly ever watch films. Sometimes I feel bad that I can't support my friends' conversations on the subject, but I'm not going to change anything.

As for this channel, I've been collecting Korean music since 2010. I wasn't the first to do it, but I was definitely the first to start doing it systematically. By pulling together information from different places, I had a catalogue based on which complete albums were collected.

In the future the situation has improved, as there are many people interested in finding albums, and now we can (in some cases) hear copies of the original discs, rather than a compilation of files collected from all over the place and sounding all over the place (different volume, bitrate and so on).

I am grateful to all of you for your support, questions and comments. May the new year take all wars away and bring us all more unknown music from DPRK!

P.S. All materials on this channel are for educational purposes. I am not a supporter of the DPRK and my channel is not a mouthpiece of any propaganda. If anyone thinks otherwise, I feel sorry for them, haha.

All comments are pre-moderated. The negative comments without argumentation have no chances.

You can comment in any language, however I only speak English (not very well) and Russian. Unless the electronic translators give me a decent translation, your post will be rejected.

It seems that many people don't know that a video can have a description at all. I reject comments that repeat information from the description.

All audio and photo rights used in my videos belong to their rightful copyright holders. In the vast majority of cases, they belong to companies in the DPRK. All content is distributed freely, based on the copyright laws in force in the DPRK.

Unfortunately, there are companies that use Korean music, thus violating global sanctions laws. For example, such rubbish like IPRS (The Indian Performing Right Society Limited). Too bad there's no one to punish them...

YouTube has taken away the advanced features of my channel, so I can't appeal one claim...

Dear subscribers!

Unfortunately, the realities of the our world today are such that it is easier for YouTube administrators to remove a channel due to mass unfounded complaints than to ignore the idiots who write these complaints.

In the past few days, at least 4 channels about DPRK music have gone away due to complaints from crazy people. Billi Zhu, Music of Korean Army, Aliwatan and soffkj4y. This is very disturbing to me. I could be next and no one will protect me.

I'm not afraid of losing my posted audio and video files because they are all saved and can be re-uploaded. It's not a problem for me to continue my activities on VK and Telegram. Everything I do, I do unselfishly, but only the realisation that my activity is needed by others makes me continue it. I just don't want to lose my audience.

In conclusion, I would like to say the following. All those who write nasty complaints will sooner or later get their due from life. Karma.

The decision by the DPRK authorities to take down some websites associated with the country defies all logic. Clowns!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Mnok... - this song is a riddle. It was uploaded on Naenara website like file with name "PEE00126h.mp3". Thus, the performer is Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble (PEE). Yes, it is sounds like the later work of Pochonbo (or later Wangjaesan where sang several singers of Pochonbo), but neither discography contains this song. Where I found information about Hwang Jin Yong (name of composer)? I don't remember. In any case, original source is absent now.

Also, I really want to know the names of performers for these songs
