Victoria Carbol Official

Victoria Carbol is a Vancouver-based songwriter and pop artist. She first entered the musical scene in 2016, writing theme songs to her favourite books and posting them to her YouTube channel, Inquillery. After amassing millions of views and a steady community of dedicated listeners, she pursued music in earnest, working with acclaimed producers from all over the globe to create lyrically poignant tracks that range from cinematic- to folk-pop. With ethereal vocals, brutal percussion, and a synth landscape akin to the cinematic stylings of Aurora or Ruelle, Victoria continues to create soundtracks for beloved books, as well as autobiographical material for the unrepentant agitators with soft hearts.

😱🥲😱🥲
This is such an incredible milestone—and one I honestly I didn’t think I’d ever see, for a while. I’m an entirely independent artist, producing most of my songs on garage band in my bedroom (you can tell lmao). Yet still you all listen and share my tunes.

I started releasing music in… 2018 I think it was? I saw steady growth for a few years but felt I was stagnating in 2021, especially as YouTube, my primary platform, started to die. I was burnt out and very discouraged.

I started this year making music for myself alone. I took a break from the bookish songs and wrote and even released a few personal tracks. It was a nice break. Then a number of things just fell into place. I found my @bookish_songs crew and we released a Grishaverse album. Ballad of Terrasen went mini viral on TikTok. My Spotify listenership almost doubled in six months. I was inspired again.

And so here we are now. I am so moved and so grateful. I genuinely mean it when I say that I couldn’t do any of this without you.

All my love love love 🥰🥰🥰
