I'm excited to share something new with you. I've just launched a second channel called S1gns Of L1fe Modular. This new channel is a creative extension of what I already do, focused entirely on modular synthesis, deep patching, sound design, and the artistic process behind the scenes.

This isn’t replacing my main channel. It's here to expand the vision and open up a new outlet for exploration. If you've ever been curious about modular or want to see how I use it to unlock new ideas and approaches, this is the place.

I'm honored to be featured in the 100th video of Michael Brückner’s YouTube channel, where we sat down for an in-depth and wide-ranging conversation about music, creativity, and everything in between. We covered a lot of ground, from my early days playing Heavy Metal to the journey that led to creating ambient music as S1gns Of L1fe, Starterra, and Ascendant with Don Tyler. We talked about the role spirituality and astrology play in my creative process, the founding philosophy behind Synphaera Records, and how improvisation is finding new life through our sub-label Penté. There’s also some honest discussion about AI, authenticity, and what it means to stay true to your artistic vision.

S1gns Of L1fe

In March 2025, I traveled to Wuppertal to visit Martin Stürtzer's studio. We met in his creative space and recorded a deep, immersive Space Ambient liveset. Together, we crafted intricate sound patches and evolving sequences, making full use of his entire hardware synthesizer setup. A lush, ethereal pad from my Hive soundset was the only software synth used in this expansive sonic exploration.

Performed live in Bitwig under Neptun's watchful gaze (4:54), the result is a 35-minute journey through The Black Ocean, a deep-space odyssey unfolding in real time.

Some journeys are mapped, others unfold as you take the first step. Phasepath is one of the latter, a sonic expedition where the destination reveals itself only through experience. This album was a deeply experimental process for me, pushing into new territory with virtual modular synthesis in VCV Rack, paired with my suite of guitar effects pedals to create evolving textures and fluid soundscapes.

From the very first moment, Phasepath sets you adrift through shifting spaces, tracing an intricate path of light, shadow, and memory. Every sound is a passage, each track a corridor that leads deeper into an unknown but strangely familiar realm. Harmonic fragments hover between presence and absence, blooming and dissolving like echoes of a forgotten dream.

Exclusive to Bandcamp, two additional bonus tracks expand this journey even further, taking you beyond the album’s final moments and guiding you toward a familiar horizon.

This is an album of exploration, a pathway of sound mapped in real time. Where it leads is entirely up to you.

This live performance series on YouTube will spotlight specific styles of ambient music, bringing a unique and immersive experience to our community. The debut event, S1gns Of L1fe | Performance Series 01 (Chill Ambient / Downtempo), premieres on Saturday, January 18th, at 11 AM PST, featuring a full set of brand-new original music in the signature style of S1gns Of L1fe. This is a personal milestone for me, and I’d be honored to have you join me for this special live event.
