Stolen Voices - Your favourite actors are being cloned!
Dear friends,

As fans of fantasy and the music that carries us to incredible worlds, we need to talk about something that touches the very heart of performance: voice theft. With AI, cloning voices is becoming easier, and the results eerily convincing.

Imagine the iconic pronouncements of Gandalf, the commanding presence of Saruman, or the ethereal wisdom of Galadriel being replicated without the permission or participation of the incredible actors who originated them – Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Christopher Lee, and Cate Blanchett. These artists, like the loremasters of old, honed their craft over years, and their voices are their instruments, their legacy.

The concern arises when these unique voices are cloned and used without consent, bypassing the artists and their right to decide how their voice is used and compensated. It's a complex issue, and many may not be fully aware of the capabilities of AI in this area and the ethical questions it raises.

Some AI companies are trying to do the right thing by requiring consent to clone a voice. This shows that using someone's voice without permission is a serious issue, with real consequences for the artists.

Just like we value the authenticity and effort that goes into creating the music and stories we cherish, we should value and protect the voices of the artists. They deserve to control how their unique instrument is used.

Let's spread awareness about this. The more people understand the implications of AI voice cloning, the better we can support ethical practices and protect the artists who bring magic to our ears.
So please DO NOT support channels whose creator's use this practice.

What are your thoughts on this, fellow fans? Let me know below!

The Silmarillion Soundtrack

Today is the day! "A Journey to Gondolin" is part of a live performance today with a wonderful orchestra in Germany.
"Gondolin the Fair", "Idril and Tuor", and "The Fall of Gondolin" will take the live audience on an adventure. To make it easier to understand the subtleties and nuances of the compositions, I'm preparing score videos.
"Gondolin the Fair" is the first. Enjoy:)
