2025 not only marks 109 years since the sinking of the Britannic, but also the 25th anniversary of the Britannic movie. While not considered a historically accurate film, it still holds a place in my heart and for many who know the wider story of the Olympic Class Liners.

#onthisday She may not be an Ocean Liner, but nonetheless, and very important anniversary to remember. Today marks the 50th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, which sank during a storm in Lake Superior on the 10th of November, 1975. The Edmund Fitzgerald is among the largest and best-known vessels lost on the Great Lakes. Her legacy lives on to this day, in books, museums, documentaries and even music. To commemorate the 29 crew members who lost their lives that night, I have put together this little animation. I hope you like it.

#onthisday 115 years ago, on the morning of October 20th, 1910. White Star Line's newest liner OLYMPIC was launched from her slipway in the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. At the time she was the largest moving object ever created, and was the first of three ships that together would be called the Olympic Class Liners. To commemorate the anniversary of the incredible launch of the Olympic, I have put together this remarkable animation recreating the launch. This video was made in collaboration with various creators and artists who are credited at the end of the video. Remarkable what can be achieved with the power of collaboration! I hope you all enjoy the video.

Today marks a special moment. My channel, Blue Star Line (The YouTube Channel), has turned 10 years old! What a crazy decade it has been! What started off as creating videos in a ship simulator, to fully made from scratch 3D animations, I want to thank each and every one of you for being here! Especially the ones who have been here from the start! To reach 10 years on YouTube and still creating content is a great feeling, and I always love reading your feedback and comments on my latest works! A new video IS coming out tomorrow! Thank you so much, and here's to the future!
