I'm still unsure if I want to continue Mirage Magi: Magicaria, I think writing isn't just for me. Although, I get heavily invested when it comes to researching about traumas or learning about humans in order to write a character. I just feel bad for y'all because I can't give you guys content enough since I'm really losing interest and passion for it
It's really sad to think about how Sana would never question how she was treated and loved conditionally by her caregiver at all, instead she'll question herself. This is very common among anyone who grew up in a dysfunctional family, no matter how much they were mistreated or even abused, they never question how they're treated and loved. As children, we are biologically wired to attach to our parents because our survival depends on them, so instead of Sana questioning her caregiver's love and how she was treated, she looks at herself and asks herself: "What's wrong with me?" "Maybe I'm the problem?" "What can I do to earn that love?"
As Sana grew up, she never stopped loving her caregiver, instead she stopped loving herself. She was loved conditionally and pretty much emotionally neglected to the point she was painting herself in a smaller picture.
Even though Sana was still mistreated and emotionally neglected by her caregiver, she still longs and craves to be with her caregiver. Sana didn't stop loving her caregiver, she stopped loving herself.
She still seeks love and validation from the caregiver that left her, she's biologically wired to attach to her caregiver because her caregiver was a parent too. Sana never questioned her love for her or the way her caregiver treated her, she just asked herself: "what's wrong with me?" "Maybe I'm the problem" "what can I do to earn that love?"
