I am Capt. James Nelson. The Captain moniker comes from being a full time fishing guide in southern California since 2007.
That has nothing to do with the fact that I love building guitars, but (hopefully) a good enough reason for you to like what I am doing here, and the fact that these build out videos are for you and I to work in unison; to help learn, grow, and enjoy the craft together.
Since starting Dood Craft Guitars in 2017, I have made over 180 guitars. Most of those were made using basic tools that you may already have in your shop. From early 2023, I have been incorporating cuts and designs made with CNC machine.
